**The Role**
Reporting to the Manager City Design and Economic Development Section and based in Windsor, this position is responsible for acting as a contact point for local business stake-holders, with a view to coordinating a range of economic development initiatives. The position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the local economy, conducting research initiatives, coordinating information for council publications and updates for local businesses, managing a business contacts database and have a key priority of successfully implementing the Economic Development Strategy and Business Recovery Plan.
**About You**
Our Economic Development team is searching for a motivated and talented individual to join the team as an Economic Development Officer. You will have diverse economic development experience with the ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities. If you can do all of this whilst having fun in a fast paced, dynamic environment then we want to hear from you
**Essential Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics, marketing, and/or relevant industry experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in implementing economic development initiatives to improve the local economy in line with current and emerging issues and trends
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining business relationships, with the ability to negotiate, influence and build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare accurate and concise reports that meet set deadlines
