What to Expect
The Systems and Document Control Lead will report directly to the Regional Deployment Manager for APAC, and will be responsible for deploying Tesla's utility scale battery product “Megapack” on EPC construction and supply only deals. This role will focus on the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents, as well as driving and integrating our digital construction management programmes and tools.
What You’ll Do
- Support the deployment team in delivery of the APAC portfolio of Megapack projects, ensuring accurate document submittal, numbering conventions and revision controls
- Drive system optimization and the introduction of tools and software to aid construction projects
- Integrate and adapt existing processes and tools, creating a seamless platform
- Lead administration and optimisation of the digital construction software (Procore, Aconex etc)
- Create and host system/document management training packages, presenting as required to the wider organisation disciplines such as engineering, sales teams etc
- Capture program risks and provide strategic assessment and reporting of said risks and control measures, developing tools and systems as needed
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly reporting
- Support the project managers with setting up external parties on systems and tools
- Mentoring and coaching of less experienced staff on systems and tools
What You’ll Bring
- Degree or relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT
- 3 + years’ experience in large scale construction projects, specifically Utility scale EPC is desirable
- Excellent IT skills with hands on experience in MS Office
- Knowledge of Electronic Document Management systems
- Previous experience as Document controller or Systems Lead
- Understanding of EPC Contracts, Project Management principles and construction practices
- Self-starter, with a passion for driving the transition to sustainable energy
- Ability to solve complex problems with a focus on win-win strategies
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
