**The Role**

Seeking an experienced and dynamic Industrial Relations Manager to join our team in our Subiaco Head office.

As a member of the broader HR/People team, you will assist with the development and implementation of a broad based industrial and employee relations strategy, lead planning and negotiation of enterprise agreements, advise on matters of compliance and interpretation across the Australian National Workplace Relations system.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead enterprise agreement negotiations, participate in bargaining meetings and respond to industrial action.
- Provide advice and support in the preparation of enterprise agreement bargaining including, drafting key documentation and employee communications.
- Provide support and coaching to the HR/People team, Senior Managers, and the wider Group to improve ER/IR capability.
- Develop materials to report Group ER/IR activities and implications to internal stakeholders and Senior Management across the Group.
- Provide timely, accurate and commercial advice in respect of all ER/IR matters.
- Undertake advocacy in industrial disputes in applicable industrial tribunals.
- Provide training to Managers, Leaders, and employees on ER matters such as Union Right of Entry and acceptable workplace behaviour.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes and make recommendation to the business on changes required.
- Respond to all employee related claims and disputes including but not limited to unfair dismissals and adverse actions which may include conciliations and hearings with the relevant commissions.

**The successful applicant will ideally have**:
**Academic / Education /Licenses**
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations/Employee Relations, Employment Law or a similar qualification.

**Experience**
- Proven solid experience in industrial relations management within the construction, mining, and/or engineering industries, within a contracting environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of the industrial relations framework and the ability to interpret legislation and case law.
- Dealing with unions, in addition to the Fair Work commission responding to claims and disputes.
- Experience working with and interpreting industrial instruments and drafting of employment related documentation.
- Solid data analysis skills, to source and manipulate data to identify trends, issues, and corrective actions.
- Proven capacity to solve problems and analyse complex and multiple sources of information towards a commercially sound outcome for the Group and our people.
