**Industrial Relations Manager - Perth**

This position is responsible for enterprise bargaining, dispute resolution and management of organisational stakeholders supporting the formulation and delivery of Centurions industrial relations agenda. The role will utilise Industrial and/or Employee relations experience and insight to ensure sound and proactive industrial relations practices are maintained and align to the business’s strategic objectives.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Leading negotiations with employee and union bargaining representatives as required
- Advising the business on industrial disputes, including risk mitigation and associated legal processes
- Assisting in the preparation of briefing papers in relation to IR matters
- Providing advice to managers on all aspects of workplace relations policies and procedures, counselling and disciplinary processes, contracts of employment and enterprise bargaining agreements
- Preparing carefully drafted documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Reviewing and developing of Employee Relations policies and procedures
- Leading dispute resolution, including advocacy and managing matters before the Fair Work Commission
- Interpretating legislation, case law, employment contracts, enterprise agreements and awards
- Researching and preparing reports to management on a variety of people management / workplace relations related matters and prepare higher level correspondence
- Interpretation of awards and other instruments pertaining to industrial affairs matters impacting on employee management
- Promoting constructive communications with relevant unions and government stakeholders

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary degree in a related field
- Significant relevant experience in employment/labour law through either a HR or ER/IR role
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and customers
- Proven experience as an IR/ER or workplace relations specialist with exposure to complex industrial environments
- Comprehensive knowledge of industrial relations principles, practices, and their corresponding interaction with business performance
- Able to articulate your views and advice clearly to a broad range of people
- Capable in leading and facilitating negotiations with unions
- Sound problem solving skills with a focus in the management of fair work commission matters
