**The Client**
Our client is a major player in the world Reinsurance market, and a leading brand in both General, Life and Health Reinsurance with a presence on every continent.
Transacting all lines of life, health, and annuity business, the client has advanced to become a leading provider of reinsurance concepts and solutions. The company supports its clients' financing of new business, financial optimisation and offers product partnerships for strategic market positioning.
**The role**
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced claims administrator to join this leading Reinsurer on the Life Insurance side of its business. It's also a fantastic opportunity to broaden and develop your current skills in a well established team with plenty of "intellectual property" from which to leverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with external service providers to obtain any outstanding information as requested by the Claims Assessor
- Processing claim payments. ensuring calculations & payment letters are correct
- Supporting the processing of direct in-house funeral bordereaux and other direct claims as required
- Reviewing claim information and interpreting policy to determine claim eligibility within delegated authority
- Being attentive to identifying risks of fraud, potential regulatory breaches, process gaps and contributing to process improvement opportunities
This role is initially offered on a full time, contract basis to November 2025, but with a good chance of being either extended, or made permanent. The perks of the role are as per a standard permanent position (sick pay, bonus, annual leave etc).
**Skills and Experience**:
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Prior claims experience in the life insurance or superannuation sector. Open to consider claims experience in other insurance product lines
- Exposure to that claims "eligibility piece" would be highly regarded (ideally in Life Insurance - Death, TI, TPD, IP, Trauma)
