**Role Description/Criteria**

**Finance and Payroll Officer**

Aquinas College is looking to appoint a dynamic, suitably experienced applicant to the position of Finance Officer/Payroll. This is a full time or part time, 12 month fixed term position, (possibility of ongoing) commencing as soon as possible.

Aquinas College is an energetic and diverse community of over 250 educators, administrative, finance and property staff who work together to support the mission of the College. Inspired by Catholic tradition, our vision is to be an excellent school.

Reporting to the Acting Business Manager and, the duties will be as follows:

- Will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
- Will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Will have excellent IT skills and experience with programs relevant to this role
- Will have the ability to work successfully within a team
- Will have experience/ knowledge appropriate to the role
- Will have valid Working with Children Check (or be willing to undertake)
- Will have relevant permissions to work in Australia

The successful applicant will be appointed as a Category C Education Support Employee, Level 3 (CEMEA 2022). Category C employees work 45 weeks per year and receive seven weeks’ paid school holidays.
