We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Payroll Leader to oversee and manage our payroll function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service delivery to our diverse workforce.

As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for:

- Providing leadership, growth and development, and daily management to the Payroll team.
- Serving as the primary contact and providing coaching/training as required to the business in relation to any payroll related activities.
- Completing all necessary reporting including end of financial year, superannuation, and workplace gender equity reports.
- Strategically collaborating with management to align payroll practices with business objectives.
- Analysing metrics for policy development.
- Maintaining and updating payroll systems for optimal functionality.

**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role you will have an agile mindset, the ability to think on your feet and shift priorities quickly during peak periods whilst still maintaining the day-to-day payroll function and fostering a collaborative workplace culture.
- Hold strong leadership experience in a similar/like role (essential).
- Have excellent leadership, people management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Appreciate and understand the Community Health / Not-For-Profit sector (highly desirable).
- Possess a robust skillset including advisory capability, risk analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Be proactive and detail-oriented, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Have excellent communication skills, with coaching and mentoring abilities to manage teams effectively.
- Exhibit a high level of attention to detail, adaptability to change, and investigative skills to identify root causes and provide solutions.
- Highly regarded qualifications and experience_
- Diploma in Payroll or Accounting.
- Membership of relevant community organisations, professional associations, or peak bodies.
- Experience using Dayforce is preferred.

**Additional Information** Who you’ll be working with**
This role reports to the Manager - HR Operations, and works closely with the Human Resources Leadership team to contribute to various projects, reporting and initiatives across the Human Resources Directorate and the broader EACH business. It will also lead a team of 5 Payroll Business Partners.
