Your role directly contributes to the Melbourne Children’s Campus Mental Health Strategy 2021 - 2026, ensuring uniform and evidence-based mental health care for infants, children, and adolescents.

**The opportunity**:
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the mental health of children and young people? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Research Assistant, supporting the implementation and evaluation of Trauma Informed Preventative Care (TIPC) activities within the Melbourne Children’s Campus Mental Health Strategy.

As a Research Assistant, you will collaborate with Senior Project Officers, Campus staff, children, young people, and their families to design and implement TIPC initiatives. Your role will involve data management and analysis for ongoing research projects, contributing to the Campus Mental Health Strategy's goal of delivering evidence-based, comprehensive mental health care and prevention.

**Campus Mental Health Strategy**: The Melbourne Children’s Campus, in partnership with The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH), Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI), and the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne, is committed to the Mental Health Strategy 2021 - 2026. Our objective is to provide uniform, evidence-based mental health care for infants, children, and adolescents, supported by education and research. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring the best outcomes for children and their families.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Conduct ethical research aligned with the Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research and MCRI policies
Contribute to the implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of trauma-informed care
Optimise Behaviour Support Plans to reduce Behaviours of Concern.
Assist in data generation, literature reviews, and building the evidence base
Enhance research productivity and methodology skills
Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Cultivate a culturally sensitive and inclusive work environment

**About you**:
Degree/Honours/Masters qualification in psychology, nursing, science, public health, or related discipline.
Research expertise gained through experience, training, or professional accreditation
Demonstrated experience in engaging and working with people with lived experience
Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and human rights
Experience in systematic and/or rapid reviews in child mental health or related areas
Experience in developing adult learning education materials
