Join Our Team at MCRI Kidney Regeneration Laboratory

**The opportunity**:
MCRI Kidney Regeneration Laboratory, led by Prof. Melissa Little, is at the forefront of groundbreaking research aimed at developing novel therapies for kidney diseases.

We are currently seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to our work developing stem cell-derived renal replacement therapies. In this role you will assist in generating and characterizing stem cell-derived kidney tissue and have the opportunity to develop expertise in a range of skills.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Maintenance and differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells into kidney cell types and organoids
Cell and tissue culture, including immunofluorescent staining and confocal microscopy
Molecular biology tasks such as qRT-PCR and flow cytometry
Digital record keeping and data management
Assistance in generating high-quality research data for publication and presentations

**What we need from you**:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant scientific discipline
Capacity to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent time-management, record keeping, and communication skills
Experience in cell or tissue culture and general molecular biology techniques
Proficiency in software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams
(Desirable) Experience in pluripotent stem cell maintenance, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, high-content imaging, animal surgical models, or tissue engineering
