**The opportunity**:
At the Melbourne Children's Campus, we are dedicated to transforming the landscape of infant, child, and adolescent mental health care. Join us in implementing the ground-breaking Mental Health Strategy 2021-2025 and be a part of revolutionizing the way we support children and their families.

As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our Consistent Quality Care Key Area. You will collaborate with our passionate team to develop evidence-based models of care, clinical practice guidelines, and care pathways for common mental health conditions. Your work will contribute to ensuring that every child receives the best possible care, regardless of their background or circumstances.

This role is offered on a 18-month contract in a part time capacity of 30.4 hours per week.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Conduct ethical research and project coordination work at the highest level of integrity and in line with the Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research and MCRI policies
Support the Senior Project Officer and relevant working and advisory groups to design, pilot and deliver key areas of work for the Consistent Quality Care Key Area including preparing reports and documenting decisions relating to the work of Campus staff/clinicians and Lived Experience Advisors through meetings, pilots/trials and/or interview data.
Map existing mental health service and referral systems, and care pathways to identify gaps and lead development of mental health care pathways for children, young people and their families for use by staff and clinicians across the Melbourne Children’s Campus
Conduct systematic review of existing clinical practice guidelines to inform knowledge gaps across hospital, government, and community resources

**About you**:
**Relevant qualification**: Honours/Master’s in research in psychology, nursing, science, public health, or related discipline
Appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation
Training and experience in research methodology, including systematic reviews or similar methods, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting in a clinical research environment, ideally with mental health of children, young people and their families.
Demonstrated project coordination/project support skills including stakeholder management and engagement
