**The opportunity**:
This Research Assistant role within the VIBeS2 project involves participant recruitment, managing face-to-face assessment bookings, conducting motor assessments, and data entry. This role will also involve accelerometer data management, including monitoring stock levels, managing data back-up procedures and processing accelerometer data. The successful applicant will have a relevant health science degree (physiotherapy, occupational therapy or psychology), preferably with clinical research and recruitment experience.

The Victorian Infant Brain Studies group is a multidisciplinary research team, with expertise in the long-term follow-up of children born preterm. We work closely with families and young people with experience of preterm birth to improve long-term outcomes for this cohort. The successful applicant will be supervised by experienced clinician researchers and have access to support offered by the Victorian Infant Brain Studies research group, including training and support opportunities through The Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, the Royal Women’s Hospital, The University of Melbourne and the Centre of Research Excellence in Newborn Medicine. The successful applicant will also receive training in accelerometer data management software and procedures.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Conducting participant recruitment for the VIBeS2 9-12-year follow-up
Managing face-to-face assessment bookings at The Murdoch Children’s Research Institute
Conducting motor assessments of 9-12-year-old children born very preterm
Managing parent/caregiver completion of online questionnaires
Providing verbal and written feedback to parents, including relevant support services if indicated.
Data entry and cleaning
Accelerometer data management, including ensuring timely accelerometer return by families, conducting back-up procedures and accelerometer data processing

**About you**:
**Relevant health sciences qualification**: physiotherapy, occupational therapy or psychology
Registered with AHPRA
An appropriate level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional
Excellent time management, organisational and analytical problem-solving skills
