**The Opportunity**
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Manager to join our growing Mergers and Acquisitions team in Melbourne.
As a Manager in the Mergers and Acquisitions team, you will be required to have the ability to make an impact on a wide array of engagements for various purposes and client types, across differing industries and that are of various levels of complexity.
You will be a member of a tight-knit, cohesive and outcome-focused team that delivers high quality, technically sound services and deliverables to achieve the business and growth outcomes required of the team.
**What will your typical week look like?**
- Develop and review 3-way financial models utilising best practice financial modelling techniques and relevant tools;
- Develop quality commercial and financial analysis and compile research on relevant entities, industries and comparable companies and transactions;
- Contribute to the execution of complex financing and commercial transactions and engagements with a high level of stakeholder collaboration by leading and managing streams of work;
- Contribute to financial due diligence engagements by developing high quality data books and contributing to authoring associated reports;
- Contribute to transaction due diligence by collating required materials and managing virtual data rooms;
- Develop a detailed understanding of businesses and key value drivers to determine how Findex can best meet their needs;
- Prepare Information Memorandums and other ancillary sale process marketing materials, including Information Overviews;
- Support business development activities by preparing Proposals and Pitch Documents;
- Participate in transaction negotiations and legal documentation drafting;
- Work collaboratively with, manage and develop junior team members;
- Cultivate relationships with clients and stakeholders;
- Take ownership of deliverables and products and complete them effectively and in a timely manner; Ensure all documentation including work papers and client files are maintained in line with Findex compliance requirements.

**Let’s talk about you**
You are someone with:
- A degree in either Commerce/Business/Law or Economics, (CA, CFA, MAF advantageous);
- 4-5+ years’ experience in a Corporate Finance team within a large firm, investment bank or boutique advisory firm;
- Experience in Corporate Finance primarily in Mergers and Acquisitions, Transaction Services or Valuations;
- Strong experience in financial modelling and financial due diligence (advantageous);
- The ability and desire to work as part of a close-knit team;
- The flexibility to adapt to varying work environments, projects and clients; Ability to manage various tasks, client deliverables and resources.
