What is a typical workday?
About the role:
As our new Key Account Manager, you will step into a newly created and varied role. Reporting to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will see you play a crucial role in the delivery of client-focused solutions to existing customers and the development of new business opportunities across Australia.
Responsibilities include:
- Make initial contact with potential new customers and form genuine relationships to seize on market opportunities.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience in managing existing accounts and identify new business opportunities in the process.
- Develop and maintain a set of reporting tools to report back both to the business about the success of each account and to customers about their performance.
- Regularly communicate the current progress and efficacy of our sales initiatives to senior leadership across the business.
- Responsibility for the efficacy and success of the quote and tender process in conjunction with other members of the Dragonfly team.
About you:
You will be an experienced Account Manager or Business Development professional with demonstrated experience in creating long-term partnerships in your industry to capitalise on new business opportunities. Experience in managing enterprise-level accounts in the logistics/last-mile delivery industry is highly desirable.
- 3-5 years sales experience in a customer-facing / key account management role
- Logistics experience desirable but not essential
- Intricate knowledge of Australian retail & e-commerce landscapes and the opportunities these present.
- Excellent negotiating, problem-solving and closing skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple account management projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal, throughout the course of your duties.
