The **Manager, Peer Connections** plays a critical role within the Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience, Experience Pillar, Student Life theme in leading staff and University-wide initiatives that provide inclusive extra-curricular programs that deliver a world class student experience in the Peer
- to
- Peer space outside the classroom.

Acknowledging that a sense of belonging and support is essential to the success of a student at UNSW, the main focus of the Manager, Peer Connections will be to create and implement frameworks and initiatives that support the upscaling of peer support across the University student community.

**Responsibilities**:
Specific accountabilities for this role include:

- Develop, deliver and evaluate peer support initiatives as agreed with the Lead of Student Engagement and the Head of Student Life.
- Develop, implement and manage a centralised peer support resource hub to ensure best practice is being implemented in all peer support activities across the University.
- Design, deliver and manage peer support initiatives that reach all student cohorts, inclusive of Domestic, International and students from underrepresented and Low-SES areas.
- Scope and coordinate initiatives to support the upscaling of peer support initiatives across the university.
- Prepare the best practice peer support training framework to be available to all areas of the University managing peer support programs.
- Build strong collaborative relationships across the University with all relevant stakeholder to ensure the seamless and comprehensive delivery of peer support.

**Who You Are**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification and substantial experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies to ensure there is a university wide best practice being embraced wherever peer support is being delivered
- Experience in the research, development, delivery and evaluation of programs, initiatives and projects
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, including effective people management skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
- Ability to exercise creativity and enthusiasm in the development of new initiatives in collaboration with a range of stakeholders
