**OUR TEAM**

This role sits within the Student Success team, which is part of the broader Student Experience portfolio and comprises of Student Success, Indigenous Education, Chaplaincy, Libraries, Student Life and Wellbeing. Student Success is a national office that directly supports student achievement through learning support, career development and scholarships.

**THE ROLE**

An exciting new opportunity to coordinate and develop the Student Success peer-learning program to ensure a high standard of delivery through a team of Peer Learning Facilitators, adhering to peer-learning pedagogy and enhancing student success and retention.

In this role, you will:

- Develop program content and training materials, identify key foci and ensure continuous improvement of the Peer Learning program
- Recruit, train, supervise, provide pastoral care, professional development and mentoring for the peer learning facilitators and casual staff
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned with other forms of learning support
- Evaluate the program and provide high quality reports on outcomes, including, engagement, academic impact, and retention
- Provide specialist advice and recommendations to leadership that inform and enhance an evidence-based approach to peer learning
- Support the wider development of peer learning and support with other areas through advice, collaboration, and training
- Administer the Peer Learning Program budget to ensure effective delivery of the program
- Create marketing plans, promotional material and events for students and staff to build attendance at peer learning sessions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders

**_ As part of the selection process the preferred applicant will be required to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), National Police Clearance, hold a current C-Class Driver’s License and be available for after hours and weekend work as required._**

**YOUR CAPABILITY**
- Completion of a degree with subsequent experience OR an equivalent combination of education/training and proven coordination experience in a similar role
- Excellent operational and project coordination skills including the ability to analyse issues and problems, develop feasible solutions, and manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation through to completion
- Demonstrated effective teaching and learning skills at a tertiary level with an understanding of pedagogical frameworks and student transition and retention issues
- Proven supervisory skills with the ability to provide leadership to a team of student peer learning facilitators
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with strong negotiation skills and experience in preparing proposals, reports, and policy documents
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-level work using software such as Microsoft Office Suite and other University software programs, with the capability and willingness to learn new systems
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the institution, work respectfully with others, including in cross-cultural or other diverse contexts, and engage people in positive ways to achieve outcomes
