People and Culture Advisor

Downer **Rail and Transit Systems (RTS)** is proud to be a leading provider of Rollingstock assets and management in Australia**.** We’re so excited to embark on the QTMP project and we are now seeking a **People and Culture Advisor** to play an integral role in the day to day running of the project.
Reporting directly to the People and Culture Manager of the project, you will be responsible for providing guidance and advice to employees and their managers regarding all human resources related matters, as well as managing the HR processes and administrative functions.
Other duties include:
- Interpreting HR policies, laws and standards to educate stakeholders
- Conducting confidential workplace investigations
- Facilitating workplace training on HR initiatives
- Manage probation period and other performance related reviews
- Facilitating systems audits and reviewing HR data
- Ensuring accuracy and currency of organisational charts
This is a fulltime, permanent role, and will be based in Maryborough, QLD. Some intrastate/interstate travel may be required from time to time.

QTMP is the largest investment in new rollingstock in Queensland’s history. It includes the design, build, and maintenance of 65 brand new trains, design and build of manufacturing facilities and depots and a huge boost to local manufacturing and supply chain - a true legacy to be created for Queensland that you can be a part of
**About You**:
- 3+ years relevant experience in Human Resources
- A degree qualification in Human Resources or equivalent industry is preferred.
- Sound knowledge and skills in the use of Microsoft Office suite
- A strong understanding of employment legislation, industrial awards and agreements
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and high attention to detail
- Experience working in both Blue and White collar environments highly desired
- Proven ability to influence leaders and stakeholders at all levels
