SIG is a global quantitative trading firm founded by a group of friends who share a passion for game theory and probabilistic thinking. We have incorporated this approach into our culture, where you will find relentless problem solvers within each of our core disciplines: Trading, Technology, and Quantitative Research. From offices around the world, our employees collaborate to make optimal decisions and are driven by the desire to achieve winning results together.
We are experts in trading essentially all listed financial products and asset classes, with a focus on derivatives trading. Through market making and market taking, we handle millions of trading transactions around the world every day, providing liquidity and ensuring competitive prices for buyers and sellers. While our presence in the market is broad, our trading desks are highly specialized, allowing for a deep understanding of unique drivers of each asset class.
We are looking for a Campus Recruiter to join our HR and Recruiting team in SIG's Sydney office. You will be part of an energetic and close-knit team that directly impacts the success of our firm. You will work closely with our Trading, Technology and Quant teams to attract, select and onboard the best Intern, Graduate and PhD talent in the market.
If you are passionate about attracting and recruiting the best talent, and you enjoy a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, then we’d like to hear from you
In this role you will:
- Be involved in all aspects of the campus recruitment lifecycle from strategizing with stakeholders to attending careers fairs and other campus events
- Be responsible for screening, interviewing, presenting offers and preparing new hires for their onboarding experience at SIG
- Be accountable for SIG’s annual campus program, all sponsorship/co-op programs and the intern program, which is split between Sydney and Philadelphia, the firm’s global headquarters
- Manage all year-round initiatives to engage with and hire relevant talent example: identify opportunities to engage with PhD talent on campus for our Quantitative teams
- Contribute to SIG’s campus employment branding and awareness initiatives
- Find ways to continuously enhance our campus talent pipeline by facilitating networking / social events either on campus or on SIG premises
- Work effectively with the U.S. based campus recruitment and education teams to leverage SIG best practice and expertise
- Be open to travel to U.S. to learn SIG’s recruitment best practices.
- Use data effectively to inform strategies and drive improvements
**What we're looking for**
- Relevant experience in campus recruitment
- Thorough understanding of the Australian campus recruitment domain
- Demonstrated experience in building positive relationships with key university bodies including professors, faculties, student societies and careers services
- Ability to travel interstate during peak campus recruiting cycles
- Experience of hiring students from STEM disciplines, preferred
- Must be authorized to work in Australia
- Your personal skills are key, so this is what we need:
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to generate ideas and new approaches to campus recruiting
- Confidence to interact with all levels within and outside of the organisation
- SIG does not post salary information, so any salary information you find online may not be accurate because it was not provided or verified by SIG.
SIG does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or search firms. Any resume or referral submitted in the absence of a signed agreement will become the property of SIG and no fee will be paid.
