**Role**:
Performs and/or supervises tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice and school policy. This may include the supervision and coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program. Supervision and coordination would be limited to ensuring routine tasks are performed to required standards. Input into identifying training needs and development of education support class staff within the work area.

To coordinate Out of School Hours Care Program. The co-ordinator is responsible for the quality of care ensuring it is of a high standard. The coordinator must ensure the service complies with the Children’s Services Regulations and the National Quality Framework for OSHCP and the relevant school policies and procedures. The coordinator ensures the educational and recreational programs offered are undertaken in a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for all children attending the program. The coordinator is responsible for the supervision of any other OSHCP staff and volunteers. The coordinator is authorised to spend up to a nominated amount per week within budget allowances for the purpose of purchasing food, drink, and other consumables.

**Responsibilities**:
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsibility for the day-to-day use of the Qikkids program to manage program bookings and receipts.
- Use the Child Care Management System program to assist clients/families to access Centrelink payments.
- Coordinate the Active After School Care program
- Assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the OSHCP Program. This involves the supervision, direction, and support of staff in the program.
- In consultation with the principal, determine and manage work priorities.
- To be responsible for a team approach and ensure all staff are contributing to the maintenance of high program standards.
- Liaise with staff, parents, children, and the School Council management committee in order to develop a program of interesting and stimulating activities and events for primary school aged children.
- Promote an environment where children, staff and parents feel comfortable and welcome. Encourage comment about the program.
- Provide a program which gives children opportunities to make choices and give them ownership of the program.
- Provide appropriate induction for new staff and students.
- Direct OSHCP staff about daily duties.
- Coordinate staff work schedules.
- Establish and maintain strong lines of communication between all program users. Provide school web site administrator with up-to-date information at least once per term for inclusion on school web page.
- Maintain confidentiality of all staff and families in the program.
- Provide a nutritious, enjoyable, and adequate breakfast and afternoon snack for all children.
- Ensure all children are always supervised both indoors and outdoors.
- Coordinate the purchasing and issuing procedures as per school policy.
- Ensure that adequate materials and equipment are available.
- Ensure that materials are used safely and receive regular maintenance compliant with OH&S and DEECD requirements.
- Enforce Mount Martha Primary School rules in accordance with school values, the Student Code of Conduct and other relevant policies eg SunSmart
- Undertake relevant Professional Development.
- Processes for student safety e.g. Sign in/out by parent/guardian, toileting procedures
- The coorindator reports to the Convenor of the OSHCP sub committee.
