Role:

Performs and /or supervises tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy.

This may include the supervision and coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.

Supervision and coordination would be limited to ensuring routine tasks are performed to required standards. Input into identifying training needs and development of education support class staff within the work area.

To coordinate Out of School Hours Care Program. The co-ordinator is responsible for the quality of care ensuring it is of a high standard.

The coordinator must ensure the service complies with the Children¿s Services Regulations and National Quality Framework for OSHC and the relevant school policies and procedures.

The coordinator ensures the educational and recreational programs offered are undertaken in a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for all children attending the program.

The coordinator is responsible for the supervision of any other OSHC staff.

The coordinator is authorised to spend up to a nominated amount per week within the budget allowances for the purpose of purchasing food, drink, and other consumables for the program.

  • 6pm)**Responsibility for the daytoday use of the KidSoft program to manage program bookings.
  • Process Enrolments and Direct Debit requests
  • Keep quality Improvement Plan and policies up to date.
  • Assume responsibility for the daytoday operations of the OSHC program. This involves supervision, direction, and support of staff in the program.
  • In consultation with the principal, determine and manage work priorities.
  • To be responsible for a team approach and ensure all staff are contributing to the maintenance of high program standards.
  • Liaise with staff, parents, children, and the School Council management committee to develop a program of interesting and stimulating activities and events for primary school aged children.
  • Promote an environment where children, staff and parents feel comfortable and welcome. Encourage comment about the program.
  • Provide a program which gives children opportunities to make choices and give them ownership of the program.
  • Provide appropriate induction for new staff and students.
  • Direct OSHC staff about daily duties.
  • Coordinate staff work schedules.
  • Establish and maintain strong lines of communication between all program users, including term newsletter.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all staff and families in the program
  • Provide a nutritious, enjoyable, and adequate breakfast and afternoon snack for all children.
