Warehouse & Distribution Coordinator

**About the role**:
The Warehouse & Distribution Unit primarily provides members state-wide with uniform, equipment, and stationery requirements.
This role will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse staff, analysis of workflows to ensure timely delivery of services and provide advice and support to the Senior Management Team.
As the successful applicant you will have experience working in a busy warehouse and distribution environment. You will have outstanding customer service skills, enjoy working in a diverse team and be dedicated to providing a safe, efficient workplace and focussing on continuous improvement processes. The role also requires a customer centric, collaborative, and innovative approach to working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

**Your duties will include**:
- Manage and support a team of warehouse staff.
- Manage all logistics activities conducted in the warehouse.
- Monitor and conduct administration activities, including inventory cycle counts, leave and roster management.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and other workplace safety policies applicable to warehousing.
**As the successful applicant, you will have**:
- Demonstrated experience using computers and related logistics technology or systems.
- Well-developed communication skills (written and oral).
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with staff at all levels including senior members of the organisation and internal and external stakeholders.
- A demonstrated record of strong commitment and achievement in meeting customer needs.
- Demonstrated experience with safe manual handling practices and a high level of understanding of Health and Safety principals for a warehouse environment.
- A commitment to the Operational Infrastructure Department Strategy Goals of Customer Centric, Collaboration and Innovation.
**Requirements and relevant information**:
- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located in the inner city of Melbourne.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
