**Role Overview**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join UnitingSA’s team as the Allocations Officer. The Allocations Officer is responsible for rostering a team of community based support workers to deliver consumer care and support in alignment with a range of program requirements within a community based service. Working in partnership with consumers and stakeholders, the Allocations Officer ensures that shifts are allocated in a timely manner and with mínimal disruption to consumer preferences and workforce availability.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all rostering enquiries and duties.
- Coordinate all rostering requests ensuring they are completed accurately and in a timely manner to reflect consumer requests, within scope of role.
- Update and maintain roster changes log (or similar system) to ensure accuracy of roster changes.
- Manage and prioritise workload in constantly changing high volume environment to meet consumer requests and business needs.
- Monitor hours worked by support workers to ensure they are working within the scope of industrial relations obligations.
- Print, audit and process timesheets on a fortnightly basis.
- Provide adhoc administration support to staff teams as required.
- Refer newly requested services, Care Plan changes and other out of scope enquiries to Coordinator.
- Demonstrates friendly, caring and genuine support for the consumer.
- Prioritise consumer needs, preferences and goals in service delivery.
- Demonstrates a high level of customer service to consumers, general public and staff in a prompt, professional and effective manner ï‚- Maintain high administration standards.
**Skills & Experience**:
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced rostering, administration and data entry role utilising rostering computing systems and customer information databases.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities to deliver outcomes to a high standard within agreed timeframes.
- Strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in using electronic rostering systems and consumer databases.
- High level interpersonal skills, customer service and relationship building skills including the ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload in constantly changing high volume environment to meet consumer requests and business needs.
- Excellent time management, organisation and multi-tasking skills.
