**The opportunity**
The World Congress on Safety and Health at Work is a global forum for advancing worker health protection. As one of the world’s largest events for the international safety and health community, it connects leaders and experts from around the globe.

In 2023, Sydney will host the 23rd World Congress at the International Convention Centre, Sydney.

The World Congress is an initiative of the International Labour Organization (ILO), and International Social Security Association (ISSA). Australia’s event is being co-organised by the ILO, the ISSA, and SafeWork NSW as part of the Department of Customer Service.

**The team**
The World Congress project team sits within the Centre for Work Health and Safety, dedicated to bringing together and commissioning the best data and research to deliver smarter approaches and behaviour change within work health and safety.

**This role is responsible for**:

- **Event coordination**: managing the events and exhibitions attended by the World Congress
- **Communication with stakeholders**: managing the World Congress inbox and responding to enquiries from all stakeholders, and vendors when required
- **Committee coordination**: assist with preparing meeting papers, minute taking at committee meetings, diary management
- **Administration support for project financials**: raising POs, paying invoices and keeping track of financials

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Be exceptionally organised and able to handle multiple and competing priorities
- Take initiative and think on your feet
- Be a team player and work collaboratively

These will be key attributes to achieve successful business operations and performance during a period of change management and business improvement.
