**The Opportunity**

Due to an internal promotion, we have a Payroll Support Officer position available. The Payroll Support Officer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Payroll Team and supports the Payroll Manager and Payroll Data Reporting Officer by mentoring and cultivating the team to achieve outstanding results and customer service.

This role will assist with processing wages for over 10,000 team members nationally across 400 sites on a weekly basis.

**Your day-to-day**

No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:

- Assist Payroll Manager with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Payroll team, while ensuring that the team is meeting and exceeding their KPI’s.
- Perform Payroll Manager role when incumbent is absent.
- End-to-end payroll processing, ensuring all legislative and award compliance is met including month and year end processing and reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly and annual reporting.
- Carry out fortnightly Payroll audits to ensure the integrity of data and that the company is meeting its auditing obligations both internally and externally.
- Manage Award Rate and Annual Pay Increases for Centre based staff.
- Manage Annual Trainee Increment Increases.
- Ensure confidentiality of employment records as per the Australian Privacy Principles.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships with all stakeholders.
- Liase with Human Resources regarding on boarding, terminations, remuneration packages, conditions of employment and other industrial relation matters.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experiences:

- 2+ years’ experience in a similar payroll role.
- Intermediate-Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
- Previous systems experience with Preceda preferable but not necessary.
- Previous experience working in a large and fast-paced organisation with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- _Hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid working with children check_
