As a member of the Australian sales team, the Sales Account Manager for Sensient Technologies Australia PTY LTD is responsible for achieving the agreed sales/profit budgets for their territory while developing strategic relationships with their customers, gaining new customers and implementing the overall business strategy through the pipeline growth of profitable sales.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
Customers

Manage assigned customer accounts to ensure top line sales and profit margins targets are achieved individually and collectively.

Identify and develop relationships with customers that are the most profitable and have the greatest potential for growth.

Identify potential new customers and develop strategies to gain sales.
Revenue and Profit

Report any new business opportunities within existing and also outside of our existing customer base.

Develop and implement plans to meet the sales budget and growth targets.

Assist with the organisation and control of trade functions/demonstrations.

Review and maintain margins to achieve SOP targets.

Sales Planning

Assist in the development of Business Plans and strategies in conjunction with the Sales Manager.

Regularly liaise with Sales Manager with relation to specific Account requirements, field intelligence and market information.

Drive pipeline value, quality and velocity.

Products

Establish and implement Key Account projects in conjunction with Sales Manager and Technical division.

Promote and negotiate to sell new products, Proactives, New Product developments and product variations.

**Education & Experience**:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.

Several years (5 years) of sales experience and/or demonstrated sales competencies.

Technical Experience helpful, but not required.

**Skills & Abilities**:
Set and negotiate product terms.

Project management skills.

Negotiate sales terms with considerable discretion at high levels of customer organizations.

Ability to understand the business, financials, products, the market and needs of assigned accounts.

Ability to understand the needs of the customer and competitors’ offerings.

Strong communication skills.

High level of creditability and confidence must be maintained.

Ability to analyze and interpret a considerable amount of data, usually of a technical or scientific nature.
