**About the Position**
Reporting through to the GM of Sales, the primary objective of this position is to head up and promote the Palfinger brand [advocating Lifetime Excellence | Efficiency, Reliability, Innovation] and drive the sales of our Hookloader business across NSW. This will involve establishing yourself as the experienced Palfinger market voice across the state, establishing profitable long-term relationships and growing our market share throughout NSW.
This is a Sydney based role and most of your work will be focused on developing and servicing Sydney based decision makers.
The role will have a 70% New Business Development focus initially as we expand our market reach in NSW for our range of high-quality, market-leading Hookloader products. You will facilitate the end-to-end sales cycle [ie. prospecting, identifying decision makers, establishing contact, identifying customer needs, solution development, pipeline management, presentations and demonstrations, proposal development & negotiation, sales contract preparation and sign off and ongoing relationship management].
This position will require you to become an expert advisor on our product range. Over time and with experience you will develop a strong knowledge and understanding of our Hookloaders and your goal will be to develop yourself as our ‘the go to person’ across Sydney and NSW when it comes to these products.
Whilst you will be targeting a range of industries, the vast majority of your time will be focused on building relationships typically with Fleet Managers and Procurement Managers in industries such as waste collection & recycling, construction, truck dealerships and service centres and local government fleet operators & contractors.
You will be identifying opportunities across the Sydney metro area and surrounds and later you may also work across the larger regional centres in NSW.
Excellent product training is available and there will also by a high level of support provided to you from your Palfinger and Sime Darby colleagues across Australia and more broadly from your Sime Darby colleagues around the world.

This position is ideally suited to an experienced professional with a strong business development focus and track record of excellence in solution delivery and customer service. You may already be a proven sales professional, or you may have managed service operations for a transport provider, truck dealership or a provider capital equipment. You may already have strong connections to the trucking, waste, recycling or construction industries or to fleet operators/service providers working with local government.

- Good computer skills - we’re in search of a ‘tech savvy’ individual who can bring fresh ideas and new efficiencies and;
- Sound numeracy and literacy skills.
