**The Role**
The Defence International Training Centre (DITC) is a very unique place to work within Defence. It is unique in that DITC provides and operates across 2 functions; an initial 1 week reception course for all foreign students attending ADF courses and seminars in Australia; and in-house English language, teacher training and academic preparation courses for selected foreign military students.

As a Logistics Officer at DITC you will be positioned within the warehouse being required to undertake a variety of logistics / procurement functions to assist unit staff and international students. Some of the functions you will be required to undertake include exercising financial delegations for the purchase of goods and services in accordance with Commonwealth Procurement Guidelines; liaison with suppliers regarding purchasing and accounting queries, payment of accounts, data input, procurement of consumable items, collection of goods, providing briefs to students and attending to face to face enquiries.

**About our Team**
DITC provides training and support to enhance Defence’s international engagement. The centre plays a pivotal role in cross cultural awareness between the Department of Defence and foreign militaries. DITC is a key contributor to the Defence Cooperation Program and other bilateral training. Your role will involve working within a small team consisting of both APS and ADF personnel in support of all logistics and procurement requirements for ADF, APS, contracted staff, international students and International Seconded Officers

You should be able to work with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders and be able to manage the priorities and needs of customers to meet and exceed their expectations. You should be able to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable.

The majority of the tasks will be office based and a high level of computer competence is required, along with driving duties to purchase goods.

The successful applicant will require the ability to establish effective working relationships, have a high level of attention to detail, be self-motived and work as part of a team. A background in logistics and procurement is highly desirable.
