**The Role**
Working within the National Codification Bureau (NCB) as a NATO Codification Service Delivery Supervisor, you will combine your passion for quality and customer service to assist the ongoing support of NCB operations and the delivery of logistics data outputs for the Australian Defence Force (ADF), Defence Industry, and international customers.

Reporting to the NCB Support Manager, the position will be responsible for the following:

- Analysis and amendment of policy and procedural issues resulting from system and business changes, to meet national and international requirements of the NATO Codification System.
- Providing expert guidance on the codification of equipment used in the ADF Supply System, in accordance with Defence policy.
- Coordinating and assisting with NCB Help Desk operations, including helping customers with codification-related queries and processing of system access requests for the NCB codification software (MC-Catalogue).
- Leading detailed review and analysis of data quality checks, reports and system errors that arise in the various aspects of day-to-day business activities of the NCB.
- Supervising, training and developing 1 - 2 lower level members of the team as required.

**About our Team**
Working within the Materiel Logistics Function, the Australian National Codification Bureau (NCB) is a cohesive team of APS contractors responsible for the governance and development of the end-to-end process for the creation and modification of item identification records for Items of Supply (IOS). The NCB also manage the creation and maintenance of NATO Commercial and Government Entity (NCAGE) records for manufacturers and suppliers.

The NCB provides codification services to clients across Defence and interacts with a range of external stakeholders both locally and internationally.

The NCB is responsible for the implementation and governance of the NATO Codification System (NCS) within the Defence logistics and business environments. We provide expert advice and assistance to clients through interpretation and adherence to codification policy, procedures, and data quality standards.
- Experience in NATO Codification or related logistics discipline.
- Ability to interpret and analyse technical data and information.
- Strong time-management skills and initiative.
- Sound judgement and problem solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Sound supervision skills and the ability to work independently as part of a small, high performing team.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information in accordance with Defence and internationally agreed security requirements.
