**About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in research and ethics to take on the role of Research Ethics Adviser at our University. As the REA, you will have the opportunity to provide expert advice, education and training to researchers to ensure high quality and standards are applied to their animal ethics submissions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Provide assistance to researchers and students in responding to issues identified by the Animal Ethics Committee and facilitate communication between their Academics Divisions and the Committee.

**Who we are looking for**
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates strong organisational skills and the ability to advise, influence, and report to internal stakeholder. You also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly analytical, and motivated by the opportunity to work in a dynamic setting while effectively planning, prioritising and managing work.

You will also have:

- A postgraduate degree in a scientific discipline with relevant experience or an equivalent mix of extensive experience, training and specialist knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting research or teaching using animals.
- Ability to critically evaluate complex scientific concepts and proposals against established ethical frameworks and legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to provide mentorship and guidance to key stakeholders in the interest of developing ethical research and producing high-quality research outcomes.
