**About the directorate**

Child Safe Organisations provides free training for anyone in NSW who wants to know more about creating and maintaining child safe organisations. It offers Child Safe training, which assists organisations to create and maintain child safe environments. It covers Risk Management, Situational Prevention, Policies and Procedures, Organisational Culture, Recruitment, Reporting Obligations and the Working with Children's Check.
**About the role**

The Manager, Child Safe Programs leads and manage the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative programs and initiatives designed to promote, embed, and monitor the Child Safe Standards in child-related organisations throughout NSW. It leads a team within the Child Safe Directorate to build engagement and capability in organisations to facilitate implementation of the Child Safe Standards. This includes stakeholder engagement, education and training, resource development, monitoring and other related programs.
We are seeking a motivated and resilient person to:

- Lead the development and delivery of a portfolio of projects and programs to achieve outcomes in accordance with the directorate business plan and organisational strategic plan.
- Lead and oversee aspects of project planning and program development, and delivery for assigned programs, including designing frameworks and processes to support these programs.
- Manage and prioritise stakeholder relationships, building enthusiasm and commitment for the Child Safe Scheme through effective communication, negotiation and issues management.

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Experience with end-to-end program design and hands-on project delivery. Experience in adult learning and the design of engaging and practical resources and programs is highly desirable. Experience of regulatory processes also highly valued.
- A proven track record of delivering on innovative projects and managing a high performing team to achieve outcomes in an evolving environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, project planning and management, organisational and negotiation skills.

**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent knowledge and workplace experience in the disability sector and regulatory environment including ongoing professional development.
- All roles associated with the Office of the Children's Guardian are required to have a current NSW Working with Children Check
