**The Role**
We currently have a Principal Project Officer (PPO) role available in the Mandatory Disease Testing team within the Systems Oversight Branch.
The PPO will lead a team of up to 3 - 4 people with overarching responsibility for the monitoring of the Mandatory Disease Testing Act 2021 (MDT Act). The PPO may be required to contribute to other projects arising in the Systems Oversight branch from time to time.

The PPO will be responsible for:

- Conducing high-level research and analysis to support to the monitoring function and to conduct statutory reviews in line with the timeframes set out in the MDT Act
- Creating an environment for success, including the developing staff and managing performance

**About you**
You will be an experienced people leader with the ability to set a clear vision, develop staff and lead your team to success. You will be passionate about ensuring integrity in the NSW Public Sector.

Ideally, you will have a background in conducting oversight activities, statutory reviews and/or administrative investigations. Formal tertiary qualifications in disciplines relevant to Law, research, policy analysis or equivalent experience are highly desirable.

You will also have:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate with diverse stakeholders, and to prepare complex correspondence and reports
- Experience leading a team and creating an environment of success
- Experience engaging with external stakeholders and creating positive working relationships.
