**Who we’re looking for**:
Build and provide technical expertise on tagging management, coding best practices & implement complex digital analytics tracking solutions across Virgin Australia's direct sales channel & digital platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring implementation best practice across Marketing technologies and providing accurate digital tracking to ultimately support providing better online experiences for our customers.
**The team**:
The Direct Sales & Distribution team drive the commercial performance of the Direct channel. They look after Digital Analytics within the VA group, manage multiple digital technology platforms including the development of our Next Generation Retailing platforms, manage the airline's distribution capability, as well as it's SEO and ancillary product strategy, and play a key role in improving customer conversions for the direct sales channel as core members of the company's Tagging, Analytics and Test & Learn programmes.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Design, implementing, and document customised analytics digital tagging & tracking solutions for digital content.
- Write custom JavaScript & HTML code to develop tagging implementation and govern 3rd party marketing tags within Tag Management Platforms such as Tealium iQ.
- Support in driving best practice for coding, implementation and data integration workflows across MarTech platforms.
- Support the technical day to day operations of the Tealium tagging platform internally within the relevant teams.
- Ensure the foundation of digital data collected and passed into the analytics platform is robust and accurate.
- Work across Adobe & Tealium MarTech platforms (Tagging, Analytics, CDP), ensuring they are operationally integrated between each other for enablement & activation.
- Assist in enabling and activating on technical requirements and implementation needs with relevant teams to support marketing & optimisation initiatives.
- Keep up with industry standards and support the up-skilling and development for the centre of excellence around the MarTech industry.
**You’ll be great in this role if you have**:
- Experience in digital tagging implementation working across client and/or agency side.
- Experience implementing 3rd party media/marketing tags via Tag Managers.
- Experience in TealiumiQ.
- Skills in web analytics tools to support insights to customer behaviours.
- A background working with optimisation platforms (eg. Adobe Target) within CRO programmes,
- Exposure to retail/eCommerce environments.
- Ability to design and create Data Layer requirements and specifications for implementation.
- Proven ability to derive, document and convey to stakeholders (non-technical/analytics) tagging & analytics tracking solution.
- Working knowledge of Adobe and Tealium Marketing Technology stack.
- Skills using web analytics tools for insights to customer journey and ensuring accurate tracking implementation.
- A strong understanding of the current MarTech landscape and associated tools, platforms and practices.
- Knowledge of CMS and website management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of site debugging & tools that aid in front-end development.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Design Computing/Computer Science/Web Development/Digital Marketing.
**You’ll be great in this role if you have**:
- Experience in digital tagging implementation working across client and/or agency side.
- Experience implementing 3rd party media/marketing tags via Tag Managers.
- Experience in TealiumiQ.
- Skills in web analytics tools to support insights to customer behaviours.
