**About the role**:
Reporting to the Executive Manager of People & Culture, you will be responsible for payroll and the delivery of administrative services to support the HR function, providing assistance across the employee lifecycle by coordinating onboarding and induction activities, processing employee changes, and issuing employment contracts.
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
- Processing a fortnightly payroll accurately and on time using Viewpoint;
- Maintaining payroll records including employee data, timesheets, bonuses, and deductions;
- Calculating and processing payroll adjustments, including leaves of absence, overtime, and special pays;
- Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters with professionalism and efficiency;
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to payroll processing and employee compensation;
- Assisting in the administration of employee benefits, including enrolment, changes, and inquiries;
- Drafting correspondence to employees on various HR-related matters;
- Assisting with reference checking;
- Preparing employment contracts to be issued to new employees;
- Organising medicals, uniforms, and travel arrangements;
- Scheduling onboarding, training, and inductions for new employees;
- Handling enquiries from employees and escalating where necessary; and
- Ensuring accurate data entry into all systems.
**About you**:
To join our team, you will need to have the following:
- Proven experience working in payroll processing and HR administration;
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations;
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel);
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels;
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion;
- Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy;
- The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
