The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. **Role purpose**:
The Manager Environmental Sustainability has responsibility for leading the Victorian Health Building Authority's (VHBA) work on delivering sustainable and resilient health care capital projects. The role will drive systemic change to embed sustainability and climate adaptation into VHBA's project management framework.
The role will provide technical advice to key stakeholders during the project's lifecycle from masterplan through to detailed design and capture benefits of building sustainable and resilient hospitals. The role will develop and maintain comprehensive technical guidance on sustainability in capital works and represent VHBA on relevant working groups and forums.
