Icon is committed to lowering our emissions footprint and are looking for an Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our Victorian team.

Our Environmental Sustainability Manager will be willing to grow with our business. They will be a self-motivated, passionate and dynamic individual who can operate across a broad range of responsibilities. They will be experienced in identifying, strategizing and driving the successful implementation of initiatives to improve our business and strengthen the sustainable culture of our teams. They will work closely with project teams in delivery, ensuring that projects sustainability deliverables and targets are achieved.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Working hand-in-hand with our project teams to implement actions, procedures and tools to successfully achieve sustainability ratings
- Driving value through critical evaluation of project sustainability targets through tendering, design and implementation
- Effectively communicate key sustainability information to internal and, as required, external stakeholders
- Support projects to collect, monitor, analyze and manage data and evidence associated with sustainability objectives and rating tools.
- Working to develop the strategy and evolution of our Science Based Targets pathway
- Engaging and building relationships with industry stakeholders, suppliers and subcontractors in strategizing, reporting and achieving Scope 3 emissions reductions
- Maintaining an adaptable and practical approach that supports our project and business objectives
- Educating and inspiring our people in understanding and improving practices and strengthening our culture of sustainability

**Requirements**:

- Technical expertise in environmental and social sustainability, either from sustainability engineering background or similar
- Construction sustainability / environmental management experience with delivering buildings and/or infrastructure projects
- Comprehensive understanding of sustainability principles, GBCA Green Star and/or ISC IS rating schemes and standards
- A drive to support market transformation to more sustainable practices
- Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
- Passion for innovation and project delivery
- Collaborative team and client approach
- Strong interpersonal skills consistent with the ability to build relationships
- Demonstrated experience in setting / delivering environmental sustainability strategies
