**The Role;**
Be part of this globally recognised brands commitment to Sustainability efforts, in this newly created Sustainability Manager opportunity. the role will serve as a key functional expert and Sustainability leader for the region, providing support, guidance and coaching to internal and external stakeholders, whilst ensuring relevance in Australia

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Review and monitor government initiatives and updates to provide sound recommendations to the business
- Provide technical and strategic advice across the organisation on Australian environmental issues, business processes, and local and federal legislation
- Collate, track, and report on sustainability performance according to internal and external compliance requirements
Lead and chair working groups across Logistics, Store Development, and Business Operations
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop internal and external stories and partnerships that leverage the company's sustainability initiatives and progress
- Lead the production of sustainability-related website content
- Advise Design, Visual Merchandising, E-Commerce, and Merchandising teams to ensure compliance with sustainability standards
- Drive education, engagement, and awareness on sustainability initiatives through monthly meetings with Store Sustainability Ambassadors

**Skills and Behaviours**
- Proven experience in corporate sustainability, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), environmental management, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience leading sustainability projects within a commercial environment, possessing technical and/or legal understanding of key sustainability issues
- Excellent understanding of best practices in Australian sustainability, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards
Strong business acumen, coupled with interpersonal, influencing and relationship building skills
Ability to collaborate and work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ideally bring experience from a Global retail brand
