As an Assistant Electorate Officer, you will work closely with the Electorate Officer and Ms Pugh to support them with their Parliamentary duties and the community within the electorate of Mount Ommaney.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Assisting in the operation of the electorate office
- Supporting the Electorate Officer
- Liaising with constituents who contact the electorate office for information and assistance.
- Supporting and engaging with community groups, and local businesses directly or through established relationships.
- Managing and maintaining the Member's diary.
- Financial obligations as set by legislation and Parliamentary Service policy and procedure.
- Compilation and publishing of newsletter/surveys.

**To be successful in this role, you will need to have**:

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with a broad range of clients and stakeholders.
- Possess a good knowledge of Government/Public sector functions and processes.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- The ability to work autonomously and part of a small team.
- Previous experience in an electorate office, community support, customer service or government role is highly desirable.
- The ability to use and manage a range of social media and communications systems.
- An eagerness to attend community events and functions with and on behalf of the Member.
- Ability to undertake research into various issues or policy areas.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of a range of PC software.

This is a casual position based in the Mount Ommaney electorate office in Sinnamon Park hours available will generally be between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
