The Treasury is looking for engaged and passionate case management and WHS professionals to contribute to provide proactive advice, support and assistance on WHS and rehabilitation case management matters.

The roles are critical to ensuring Treasury is compliant with its obligations under the WHS and SRC Acts.

Depending on the role, your focus will extend to:

- Providing professional policy advice on WHS and SRC legislation
- Responding to more complex enquiries and provide information on Treasury’s WHS, rehabilitation and wellbeing programs (including early intervention and Employee Assistance programs)
- Assisting in the development and implementation of WHS and case management procedures, guidelines and policies
- Undertaking secretariat duties for the Treasury Health and Safety Committee
- Conducting risk assessments and workplace audits to understand the nature of workplace risk and identify effective ways to reduce risks
- Assisting in WHS and RMS audits as required
- Managing the agency's incident reporting processes and responsibilities under the due diligence framework
- Assisting in the facilitation and management of the relevant nomination and training for roles required under the WHS legislation (HSRs, FAOs)
- Facilitating ongoing conversations with managers and employees in relation to better practice approaches, tools and initiatives to support rehabilitation and wellbeing
- Establishing and maintaining high quality relationships with senior managers and work in partnership to resolve cases of underperformance (including through probation), conduct or behavioural matters, including providing targeted strategies and associated advice
- Provide rehabilitation case management for compensation and non-compensation cases;
- Undertaking analysis and reporting of information including, for example, quantitative and qualitative outcomes of the WHS and rehabilitation management systems, aspects of staff surveys and case data.

The key skills and experience for the role include a demonstrated ability to:

- provide practical and hands on support for managers dealing with safety and wellbeing challenges, including anticipating problems and contributing to issues management;
- deliver initiatives aimed at building manager and employee capability, including workshops, training programs and sharing better practice information, tools and initiatives in an innovative and contemporary way;
- make decisions using sound judgment, expertise and knowledge, under limited direction, on tasks with considerable complexity and sensitivity, demonstrating ownership and personal accountability;
- develop and support strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- analyse information, draw accurate conclusions and report findings persuasively; and
- conduct regular quality assurance of work area processes and manage identified risks.

**Desirable Qualifications / Experience**:
Demonstrated experience in WHS and/or rehabilitation/injury management are highly regarded.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills and the ability to deal with highly sensitive matters are essential.
A Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety and/or Personal Injury Management is highly desirable.
