The Work Health, Safety & Rehabilitation (WHSR) Training Coordinator will coordinate and administer WHS training nationally across the hostel network, to ensure AHL maintains a high level of compliance and enables AHL to maintain a highly capable workforce.

• Prepare routine correspondence, communication and promotional materials e.g. posters, flyers, training certificates for distribution to hostels.
• Maintain training databases and provide reports and advice related to expiry of qualifications and compliance.
• Administer the appointment of First Aid Officers, Emergency Wardens, Health and Safety Representatives and payment of relevant allowances through payroll.
• Prepare and provide data from the training system for reporting
• Coordinate design and delivery of internal WHS training
• Coordinate First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Health and Safety Representative and Emergency Warden Training delivered by external providers.
• Provide administrative support to ensure timely processing of training delivery related expenses.
• Provide backup support for maintaining the hazard, incident and rehabilitation systems

• Professional and enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Sound communication skills including written and oral skills.
• Proven administrative skills and experience with a range of software. Basic experience with the MS Office Suite (namely Outlook, Word, Teams), and other HR related systems is desirable. Ability to use or learn to use MS Excel as an analysis and reporting tool
• Qualifications in WHSR, Training and Assessment or Accommodation/Hospitality.
• Prior experience/exposure to relevant field e.g. Training and Assessment, WHSR or Accommodation/Hospitality.
• Basic WHSR knowledge and/or the capacity to quickly build an awareness of safety and relevant legislation and best practices.
