**This role sits within the Network Operations and Emergency Management Business Unit**

**About the team**:
An exciting ongoing opportunity is available for a Project Engagement and Operations Officer to join NSW Telco Authority (NSWTA) within the Department of Customer Service.

In this role you will provide specialist advice to the Network Operations and Emergency Management team to build and maintain a project pipeline essential to the operation of the Public Safety Network (PSN).

You will partner with business units across the agency including finance, network operations, engineering and project personnel to provide analysis, project planning and resource management.

You will be joining a friendly, fast-paced, dynamic and diverse team who is passionate about keeping people and places safe

**Your day-to-day**:
This role is responsible for reviewing and assessing requests for use of network operations resources to deliver PSN enhancements and/or enterprise projects.
You will use your knowledge of the PSN, Service Level Agreements, radio systems and transmission systems to identify requirements including scope and suitable resource allocation.

You will engage stakeholders to prioritise essential PSN requirements as well as reporting and balancing competing resource demands to meet deliverables for key projects.

It is essential that you can communicate effectively to provide timely expertise and advice to support key internal and external stakeholders.

**To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate**:

- Experience working in telecommunications network operations and support services
- A working knowledge of network operations processes, Service Level Agreements, radio systems, transmission systems and paging
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines, organise and prioritise high volume workloads
- Excellent communication skills and superior customer service skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people while maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion

**Essential Criteria**:

- Experience in the telecommunications sector and in network operations processes
- Resource management experience and technical knowledge sufficient to engage with project personnel regarding complex support requests with a demonstrated commitment to the provision of high-level quality and customer-centred services
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare reports and deal with challenges creatively.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Baseline security clearance under the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
