The Australian and New Zealand Society of Nephrology (ANZSN) is seeking a Project Officer to implement Environmental Sustainability Guidelines for Dialysis Facilities produced by its Environmental and Sustainability Committee.

The position's focus is on developing a range of resources and engaging and supporting individual kidney care services across Australia and New Zealand in environmental sustainability initiatives.


The Project Officer needs to have experience with guideline implementation, be an enthusiastic and effective communicator and able to achieve stakeholder engagement and buy in.

Strongly developed communication skills across a diverse range of audiences is essential.


The position requires flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively and strategically with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve quality outcomes.

Executive Officer

Position tenure:
One year contract with the opportunity to extend likely.

Selection Criteria:

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualification in a public policy, health, environmental sustainability, or related field.
  • Analytical skills with demonstrated experience in project coordination and policy implementation role/s
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise competing tasks and work with mínimal supervision

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the health system
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field
