**About us**

The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is an independent statutory authority responsible for the curriculum, assessment, teacher accreditation and regulatory standards in NSW schools, and accreditation of early childhood educators. NESA is responsible for developing policies and initiatives for evaluating and improving quality teaching and student learning across all schools and school sectors. NESA was formally established on 1 January 2017, in response to the need to adopt a more strategic and outward-looking focus, greater clarity of regulatory roles and responsibilities, and streamlined processes and systems.

At NESA we are presently focused on an exciting, transformational program of curriculum reform, and this role is a great opportunity to support the work of passionate educators.

**About the role**

The Project Officer, Stakeholder Engagement performs project management and coordination activities that support the stakeholder engagement team activities that contribute to the development and delivery of the Curriculum Reform Project.

On a day -to-day basis you will be responsible for:

- providing a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology
- preparing and maintaining project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes
- communicating with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans
- sourcing, collating and compiling data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
- adopting a risk management approach by identifying unexpected emerging issues through the risk management framework.
- undertaking research and analysing, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning

**Essential Requirements**
- Qualification in project management or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Experience in a project role in an education setting
- Demonstrated project deliverables from complex long-term projects.
