Program Manager - Multiple Positions

**Purpose of Services**:
Professional Services (Clause 7.11)

**Role Description**

Mission Data Division (MD) within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), will deliver cutting edge capabilities to Defence through a variety of different programs and projects. To facilitate this ASD has a requirement for a number of Program Managers to oversee projects under limited direction.

The Program Managers will be responsible for delivering a set of business outcomes through multiple projects and related support teams in a rapidly changing business environment. The incumbents will provide direction to a highly motivated workforce consisting of both APS employees and Contractors in order to achieve strategy driven business outcomes within the defined time, cost, quality and scope constraints.

1. Demonstrated Program Management experience in a Managing Successful Programs (MSP) or similar formal governance framework.

2. Strong project management skills with at least ten years of experience in managing projects.

**Major Responsibilities:

1. Establish program governance and reporting processes within the agreed framework to enable the Executive to make timely decisions on the key areas affecting schedule, cost and quality.

2. Develop, implement and manage the Program Delivery Plan which delivers capabilities required to enable the organisational strategic vision.

3. Manage project level risks and issues escalated to the program by supervisors, peers, business stakeholders and/or project managers.

4. Author and present Executive level information and decision briefs on Program and project issues as required.

5. Chair meetings and boards (and associated responsibilities).

6. Manage program resources based on priorities, budget, risk and Executive direction.

7. Develop and manage the Program financial management plan.
