**The Role**
**History and Access Officers**
ASD History & Access Officers will be responsible for undertaking a range of tasks at the relevant classification and work level, including content contribution (blogs, newsletters and social media content), oral history program assistance, museum and artefact management, event management in regard to ASDs history, induction course support, proactive declassification, access examination, Freedom of Information (FOI) request handling, library management and administration duties.

**Records Management Officers**
ASD Records Management Officers will be responsible for managing ASD’s corporate recordkeeping systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and policy relating to records, and providing recordkeeping advice to ASD staff and others.

**About our Team**
**History and Access Officers**
Members of the ASD History Section can expect to work with curators, and researchers in other partner agencies, as well as external providers who support our work. Work alongside access examiners both within the agency and externally. They can also expect to work closely with various teams across the Agency, including teams that focus on corporate and public communications. Section members may also be asked to assist in events which relate to ASDs history.

**Records Management Officers**
ASD Records Management is responsible for the discipline and organisational functions of managing records to meet operational business needs, accountability requirements and community expectations for ASD.

**History and Access Officers**
ASD History and Access Officers will enjoy researching historical topics and themes. Can write an interesting story based on their research. Are passionate about ASD and its history. Have high attention to detail when working on access examination documents. Have an understanding or willingness to learn about ASD's declassification process. Have strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Records Management Officers**
ASD Records and Management Officers will also assist with undertaking continuing sentencing and disposal programme, providing training to ASD staff, and improving the efficient and effective management of records and information as a valuable enabling resource.
