Three Blue Ducks is seeking an experienced Event Manager to join our team in Melbourne

**ABOUT US**:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Events Manager to join our team in a full time capacity. Reporting to the Senior Events Manager, the role will be responsible for development, implementation and execution of all events and event related activities. Central to the role is developing Three Blue Duck’s events strategy including working with the Senior Event Manager in delivering annual event revenue targets and managing event budgets, as well as developing opportunities to proactively promote and build 3BD’s reputation.

Located in Tullamarine as part of world-class surfing destination URBNSURF, with a menu that features the best of Victoria’s farms, wineries, craft breweries and artisan producers. **ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Reporting to the Senior Events Manager, the Event Manager is responsible for end-to-end venue event planning including:

- Initial enquiries, quoting, sales and invoicing
- Maintaining up-to-date events software, following up with enquiries, monitoring calendars
- Planning in conjunction with the internal team and client to ensure event objectives are achieved
- Preparation of event run sheets, floor plans and event day collateral
- Coordinate and manage event staff, brand ambassadors and suppliers with on the day, head up briefings.
- Manage and coordinate all in house and offsite events with set up, event running and pack down.
- Supporting the Melbourne Management team with shift support during the event off-seasons.
- Working with URBNSURF to create collaborative events between 3BD and URBNSURF event spaces
- Conduct venue site inspections and face-to-face meetings.
- Plan and execute the details of the event from start to finish, ensuring adequate resources are allocated.
- Generate leads through proactive outreach and networking in the events industry and local community.

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**:

- Have a higher education qualification in events (preferable)
- Have at least 3 years’ demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Have demonstrated experience within restaurants or hospitality/ venue management.
- Significant successful track record in planning and executing large and small scale events including peer to peer
- Have intermediate or advanced experience in Microsoft office, website management and reservations systems, experience with iVvy or other event management software is an advantage
- Ability to strongly represent Three Blue Ducks’ externally, acting as a credible advocate for the organisation
- Hold strong administration skills, superior accuracy and attention to detail.
- Have the ability to focus on multiple tasks and deadlines, and effectively prioritise and manage them
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to sensitively respond to a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to take a practical, pragmatic and "hands on" approach
- Be passionate about working with an Australian brand that promotes local, Australian and sustainable produce.
- Have the ability to work within weddings, events, corporate functions, URBNSURF park catering, off -site events, festivals and markets.
- Drivers Licence
