**What you’ll do
**As a Packaging Specialist you will be responsible for developing functional, innovative and Sustainable Packaging for several categories of Products. Packaging will be developed to deliver the Woolworths Food Company New Product Development program, enhance and improve existing products, and deliver our Packaging Sustainability strategy. Packaging development activities will be aligned to our category strategies, Woolworths Packaging Sustainability commitments and our Woolworths Own Brand positioning.
- Working with trading partners, packaging suppliers and industry to build capability to deliver sustainable packaging solutions
- Improve and track our packaging sustainability footprint across our Own Brands and provide direction on preferred packaging materials for sustainability
- Partnering with the sourcing team to deliver greater value, more sustainable packaging solutions without compromising qualityDevelop innovative packaging solutions that differentiate Own Brand products from competitors

**You are an outstanding thought leader in Packaging Technology and sustainability and up to the challenge to deliver the right outcome for Woolworths and our customers. You are a collaborative influencer who can work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver commercial and customer focused change to drive our brand values. You will support the delivery of commercially relevant strategy and policy and their execution for packaging innovation and sustainability across our Own Brand portfolio.
- 5+ years Packaging experience in an FMCG, retail or manufacturing environment
- Understanding of sustainability challenges in relation to packaging in Australia
- Self-starter with ability to lead key packaging initiatives and manage multiple projects and commitments
- Demonstrable ability to develop and lead strategic, innovative solutions within a commercial organisationAbility to build strong working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders
