**About you**
We are looking for an experienced Operation Support Officer to work under the direction of the Operations Manager to assist in the Service Operations effort and maintenance of an operational production environment for a Defence stand-alone network.
**About the Role**
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Provide and support proposal creation, contribute to costing estimates and business
- Support the production environment, including:
- User assistance & troubleshooting (incl Account Management),
- Issue management & resolution,
- Trouble shooting,
- Incident response,
- Asset Management,
- Liaison with other Defence support organisations (eg. RICT), and
- User Training
- Assist in the maintain the production environment, including
- System monitoring,
- Build and deployment efforts,
- SOP development,
- Assistance to the change management & Agile process.
Desired Skills/Abilities or Ability to Learn:
- Essential - NV2 Security Clearance.
- Knowledge of IT Services and technologies (ITIL based Managed Services, Serverless architecture etc.).
- Demonstrated skills and experience in managing:
- AD (DNS, DHCP),
- Hardened Operating Systems,
- Application Control, Device Control and Firewalls, such as Trellix Solidcore, Data Loss Prevention, File and Removable Media Protection, Endpoint Security and Network Firewalls,
- Splunk and/or vRealize Aria for Operations,
- Task Sequence (SCCM/MECM),
- Windows 10 and Server 2016/2019 (trouble shooting)
- Ability to provide routine maintenance of Defence stand-alone network, including:
- Health checks and monitoring,
- Patching,
- Application Updates.
- Understanding of ITIL,
- Provide level 1/2 Support to Defence stand-alone network,
- Experience of Change Management processes within Defence (or similar),
- Experience in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for BAU activities,
- Ability to work well in a team environment, communicate effectively with technical leads & project management and meet project deadlines,
