**Work Location**:Hybrid Site & Perth role - Based at** **both Chichester Hub (located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples) and Perth (located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people).
**Roster**: 4D/3R - Hybrid Site & Perth based role.
We are seeking a versatile HR/ER professional to join our team as a Principal People and Employee Relations. This role will require a high level of expertise in employee relations and people strategy, playing a key part in supporting leaders, enhancing employee engagement, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide expert guidance on industrial and employee relations matters, policies, and legislation.
- Manage complex workplace investigations.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of people strategies which drive engagement, diversity, and inclusion across our teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and teams, providing practical, people-focused solutions and coaching to strengthen leadership capabilities.
- Drive Fortescue’s leadership development programs and employee relations initiatives, ensuring alignment with our core values and strategic goals.
- Analyse data and provide strategic advice on HR best practices, trends, and areas for continuous improvement.
- Lead or support projects within the People & Culture and ER space, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations and/or HR generalist roles, ideally in the mining, heavy industry, or related sectors.
- Strong experience with case management, workplace investigations, and project management.
- Ability to influence and establish strong professional relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Advanced skills in coaching, leadership development, and data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
