- _Business Systems Development Officer_ to join us.**About the role**
- This role sits within our Store Operations & Support department, which works with both existing and new stores to enhance their retail operations and overall retail performance.- Based out of our Preston head office your primary focus as
- _Business Systems Development Officer_ is to regularly review and monitor our use of our business systems in order to identify and implement changes that lead to their more efficient and effective use.- In doing so, you will be required to learn the ins-and-outs of multiple systems and to liaise with internal and external stakeholders so that you understand how our systems are currently used, and then implementing improvements or upgrades that seek to bridge any gaps in user knowledge or to overcome deficiencies in our processes and usage of systems.- Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
**_ Testing and roll out of system/supplier changes_**
- Document and troubleshoot system issues which will include re-testing software before deploying into production at stores or Head Office
- Develop testing criteria and help brainstorm scenarios to be considered, utilising your experience or understanding of store-level operations
- Create internal and external communication to prepare stakeholders for the changes and monitor potential issues after implementation

**_Operations Support_**
- Follow up stakeholders (e.g Suppliers) to resend, amend or review their documents to provide head office and stores the information required to close the loop on the order to invoice (credits if required) process
- Raise awareness and identify internal or external gaps which may be preventing the company from running as smooth & effectively to be reviewed for positive change

- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
- The demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand unfamiliar concepts and environments
- The ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and to cope with evolving challenges and process updates.
- Creativity and high attention to detail
- A preparedness to take the initiative and a strong desire to achieve results with a hands-on practical approach
- The successful applicant will also be required to return a satisfactory National Criminal History Check outcome._
