As we embark on the next stage of our ambitious growth plan, we are currently recruiting for aProduct Database Officerto join our Store Operations and Support teamat our Head Office in Preston.**About the role**
- The Product Database Officer role sits within our broader Store Operations and Support team which aims to optimise the retail operations within our stores, providingsupport and direction to help them deliver on merchandising & catalogue execution, planograms, ordering and stock management, store operations, and compliance.- As Product Database Officer, your key accountability will be to maintain the integrity of the data kept in our Product Information Management System (PIMS), which is a database containingcritical informationon all products sold in our stores.- In doing so, the successful applicant will be required to:
- Createrecords in PIMS for all new product lines
- Updaterecordsfor existing product lines in PIMS
- Assist stores that report product issues, and rectify where required
- Generate reports that identify missing or incorrect product data within PIMS and take action to ensure that all information is aligned
- Collaborate with the Stock and Product Management Manager & Coordinator and the IT department to develop and improve PIMS
- Create Database Maintenance Reports for internal stakeholders on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Provide wholesalers with reports based on PIMS on a regular basis.

**About you**
- The ideal applicant for this role will have worked in a busy retail store and will be familiar with retail point-of-sale, ordering, or merchandising systems. Most critically, success in this role will require the incumbent to possess a meticulous attention to detail along with a driven mindset focused on data accuracy and integrity.- The successful applicant will also be able to demonstrate:
- At least one year of experience working in a busy retail store
- Good working knowledge of My Retail Manager or other proprietary retail ordering software
- Sound problem solving ability, analytical and numeracy skills.
- Good IT Skills, including Microsoft Excel Skills as well as the ability to pick up new programs quickly
- Highly organised and with an ability to prioritise and multitask
- A preparedness to take the initiative and a strong desire to achieve results
- The successful applicant will also be required to return a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
