Docklands, Australia Vialto Partners Full time

Company Description

Welcome We’re glad you’re here.

When people work across country borders, it supercharges careers, it unlocks business potential and brings everyone closer together. Global mobility unlocks human growth. Big statement we know. But that’s what drives us and that’s the difference we help to make.

At Vialto Partners we bring together the individuals, ideas and technology to support and propel global workforces. People are our business.

A little about us...we are a relatively new organisation with a legacy of more than 50 years in the industry as part of the Big 4. But times have changed and we have big plans. We decided to create the only truly global company focussing on organisations and their global workforce. Benefiting not only the organisations that we help, but our employees as well.

Our team of over 6,000 specialists globally partner with organisations to help them manage the complex immigration, tax, planning, administrative and strategic aspects of deploying an international workforce. We help our clients meet their people and business aspirations.

**Job Description**:
**What will your day look like?**

As an Associate, you will work with clients from a range of industries and different geographical locations. No two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to work with international clients from tech scale-ups, to the world’s largest and most sophisticated corporations. You will assist these clients and their employees navigate the complex tax challenges that come with managing a globally mobile workforce.

You will be a part of the team that aims to create a differentiated experience and will have the opportunity to work with the best and brightest mobility experts in the industry. You will assist our Managers and Partners on client engagements and help them solve complex business issues, from strategising, implementing and executing the plan.

Your day to day responsibilities will be varied, and may include:

- Working directly with clients and consulting with them on a wide range of cross border income tax issues including; double tax agreements, residency changes, planning to maximise opportunities for both the employers and the employee.
- Collaborating with our national immigration, employment tax, payroll and US tax compliance teams to deliver high standard, integrated and comprehensive client services.
- Acting as the first point of contact for client correspondences and global coordination teams to ensure everything is on track in terms of your client’s tax compliance.
- Coordinating with our global teams regarding progress on your client’s tax returns and any other compliance related work.
- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office on behalf of your clients to come up with best possible solutions.

**Qualifications**:
While having taxation or business work experience would be highly regarded, we also encourage university graduates who have the following skills to apply:

- Ability to work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate with impact.
- Strong organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Critical thinker and problem solver.
- Commitment to teamwork and excellence.
- Enjoy working in a fast paced and innovative environment.
- Desire to learn and ask questions.
